Greenhouse 2026

Status

Initial project year.

The greenhouse is treated as a controlled development environment rather than a full production facility.

Main Assumption

The available greenhouse area may be larger than the area that should be actively developed during the first season.

Initial use is intentionally limited.

Main Objectives

  • assess the structure;
  • assess water access;
  • define working zones;
  • establish first beds;
  • establish compost and mulch cycles;
  • grow limited food crops;
  • document results.

Initial Area Allocation

Zone Target Area Purpose
Active beds 80-120 m² Soil development and food crops
Cover crop area 100-300 m² Biomass and observation
Compost/materials 20-50 m² Soil inputs and processing
Paths/workspace variable Access and operations
Reserve remaining area Future development

Priority Checks

Before scaling production:

  1. Water availability.
  2. Structure condition.
  3. Access and storage.
  4. Existing irrigation equipment.
  5. Existing soil condition.
  6. Available organic matter sources.

First Season Focus

The first season is not evaluated by total yield.

The first season is evaluated by:

  • successful establishment of cover crops;
  • mulch production;
  • compost system creation;
  • survival and growth observations;
  • water demand data;
  • soil behavior under mulch.

Expected Food Output

Limited quantities of:

  • cherry tomatoes;
  • herbs;
  • cucumbers;
  • zucchini;
  • leafy greens in autumn.

Food output is useful, but it is not the main success criterion for 2026.
